Kunio Matsuzaki
composer, arranger

Born in Kochi Prefecture. Graduated from the Department of Music at Kochi Prefectural Kochi Marunouchi High School. Graduated from the Department of Music at Kurashiki Sakuyo University, Faculty of Music. Has provided works for numerous renowned performers, including the NHK Symphony Orchestra, Nagoya Philharmonic Orchestra, Kobe Chamber Orchestra, Zoorasian Brass, and Alto de Campagne. Participated as an arranger in the NHK Music Festival 2016-2019 "Symphonic Gamers 1-4" (broadcast on NHK BS Premium). He held a solo exhibition in Okayama Prefecture in 2017. He will receive the 9th Gratia Music Award in 2024. His diverse activities include assisting with the arrangement of Kenji Ozawa's music. He has also performed in numerous concerts, including with the Nagaokakyo Chamber Ensemble. He studied violin under Yasue Miyauchi and the late Yuko Mori. He is self-taught in composition and arrangement.
